Shipping Policy
How we ship, what it costs, and when you'll get your order.
1. Delivery zones & free-shipping thresholds
- DFW Local (Dallas–Fort Worth metro, ZIP 75001–76299) — free shipping on orders $59+
- TX & OK (rest of Texas, plus all of Oklahoma) — free shipping on orders $59+
- US Standard — free shipping on orders $69+. Covers: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
- US Far — free shipping on orders $79+. Covers: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
- Remote (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico) — USPS rate calculated at checkout
2. Estimated delivery time
A&E Foodstore operates two locations in the Dallas–Fort Worth area: our main fulfillment center at 76060 Kennedale, TX, and a second location at 76010 Arlington, TX. Online orders ship from the Kennedale fulfillment center. Estimated delivery times below are measured straight-line from 76060 Kennedale, TX:
- Within ~20 miles of the warehouse → same-day delivery if you order before 12:00 PM CT (or next business day after that)
- Within ~400 miles → +1 business day
- Within ~700 miles → +2 business days
- Further continental US → +3–5 business days
- Far-reach states + AK/HI → +5–7 business days
3. Order cutoff times (Central Time)
- Same-day delivery (within 20 mi): order before 12:00 PM CT
- All other zones: order before 2:00 PM CT
Orders placed after cutoff are shipped on the next business day.
4. Weekends & holidays
We don't ship on Saturday, Sunday, or US federal holidays. Estimated delivery dates automatically roll to the next business day. Orders placed Friday after cutoff, Saturday, or Sunday will ship Monday (or the following business day if Monday is a holiday).
5. Important note on zone vs distance
Your free-shipping zone (the dollar threshold) and your delivery time (how long it takes) are calculated separately. A ZIP can be inside our DFW free-shipping zone ($59 threshold) and still take 1–2 days to deliver if the address is more than ~20 miles from the warehouse.
Example: 75201 (downtown Dallas) qualifies for the DFW $59 free-shipping threshold, but the delivery itself arrives the next business day, not same-day.
6. Lost, stolen, or damaged packages
Once a package is marked delivered by the carrier, A&E Foodstore has completed its shipping obligation. We cannot automatically refund packages that carrier tracking confirms as delivered.
If your order is lost in transit or arrives damaged, contact us at support@aefoodstore.com within 7 days of the expected delivery date. We will:
- File a claim with the shipping carrier on your behalf and provide all tracking and delivery records;
- Assist you in filing a police report for stolen packages where applicable;
- Issue a refund or replacement once the carrier claim has been approved.
Refunds for lost or stolen packages are processed after the carrier's claim is resolved. By placing an order, you agree that risk of loss for confirmed-delivered packages passes to the customer upon delivery, to the extent permitted by law.
7. Local pickup
Local pickup is available by appointment at both of our locations — 76060 Kennedale, TX and 76010 Arlington, TX. Text us to schedule a pickup window — typically same-day if you reach out before noon.
